Taj Mahal Hotel has nothing to do with the Taj Group of Hotels or any of the establishments run by Indian Hotels. It is an unpretentious vegetarian hotel offering boarding and lodging, run by Nadimane Hotels Private Limited. It has an air-conditioned multi-cuisine restaurant on the main road, a snack outlet next door and two family restaurants at the back of the hotel, one for meals and other for snacks.
The hotel has been a very popular place for many years down the line. It has also tried to keep up to date with the times, not only with refurbishing, but also through the very nature of its food and service. The multi-cuisine restaurant now serves Chinese food and Pizzas too — all strictly vegetarian, of course. Forty years ago, this was absolutely unthinkable!
